DENSO to Exhibit at 65th IAA in Frankfurt, Germany

KARIYA (Japan) - Global automotive supplier DENSO will exhibit at the 65th IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) Motor Show in Frankfurt, Germany, on Sept. 12-22, 2013. DENSO will introduce its latest technologies and products that focus on helping enhance occupant and pedestrian safety, improving fuel efficiency and reducing emissions.

Main exhibit:

DENSO’s main exhibition will feature a future “interactive communication cockpit.” This cockpit will include advanced safety technologies to support driving. It includes a large head-up display that warns the driver of potential risks that are difficult to recognize, and a communication device that informs the driver of upcoming hazards ahead of the vehicle with sound and light.

Exhibits for Safety and Environment:

In the area of safety, DENSO will exhibit active safety systems including an autonomous emergency braking system and a lane departure warning system that install combinations of DENSO’s various sensors such as laser radar, millimeter-wave radar and a vision sensor. DENSO will also showcase a pedestrian collision detection sensor for the Pop-up Hood that detects collisions more precisely.

In the area of environment, DENSO will exhibit its 250 MPa diesel common rail system that installs i-ART (intelligent-Accuracy Refinement Technology), the world’s first diesel engine control system that controls the injection volume and timing of respective injectors. This system contributes to increased fuel efficiency and cleaner exhaust emissions. DENSO will also display products for hybrid and electric vehicles, such as inverters, battery monitoring units for lithium ion batteries, motor generators, and DC-DC converters, and products relating to stop/start systems, such as the tandem solenoid starter, lithium ion battery packs and cooling storage evaporators.
