DEK to Launch New Horizon APi and Showcase High-speed, High-performance Printer DEK Photon

On booth 2M08 at NEPCON South China, DEK International will launch the latest addition to its market-leading printer range, the Horizon APi, while also showcasing the recently introduced DEK Photon printer.
Combining the powerful and productive features of the popular Horizon series with DEK's innovative Instinctiv(TM) user interface, the new Horizon APi delivers both high speed configuration, of 10 seconds cycle time, and outstanding accuracy with unrivalled repeatability. This high-degree of functionality will enable Horizon APi owners in the region to assemble with the latest semiconductor packages and outlines, as well as with ultra-small SMD passive form factors.
In addition to the new Horizon APi, visitors to the DEK booth interested in hardware will able to view the DEK Photon, DEK's recently introduced class-leading, high-speed, high-performance printer. Local technical specialists will also be demonstrating DEK's productivity enhancement options, process solutions and products for high volume manufacturing and lead-free processes.
The DEK Photon high-speed, high-performance printer is fast enough to do the work of two printers and with its optimised printer frame, provides enhanced accuracy and repeatability, along with true 6-sigma process platform at ± 25 m, including all print variables.
Offering a core cycle time of just four seconds, DEK Photon provides twice the throughput of other platforms, and all within a single, standard-sized printer machine footprint. The keys to this remarkable capability are DEK's state of the art technologies and inspired engineering philosophies, including: DEK's RTC(TM)(Rapid Transit Conveyor) technology; easy-to-use DEK Instinctiv(TM) operator interface; Optimised Printer Frame technology; and DEK's ISCAN(TM) (Intelligent Scalable Controller Area Network) technology.
In addition, Photon delivers even greater value by leveraging other established DEK technologies, including: high-speed simultaneous pattern recognition to reduce fiducial capture and board alignment time; and high-quality absolute positional encoders that allow accurate and repeatable printing even for devices such as wafer level chip scale packages and 01005 components.
The innovative DEK Instinctiv user interface installed on both the Photon and Horizon APi printers helps operators to set up complex processes quickly and accurately, even with little experience of machine or process, resulting in reliable first time printing - even for the most demanding of boards. Instinctiv also saves valuable time from new product introduction (NPI).
