DEK to Demonstrate High-Speed, 100% Post-Print Verification at ATExpo 2006
With an official introduction to the marketplace only a short time ago, DEK's HawkEye(TM) post-print verification system is fast becoming one of the industry's premiere tools for throughput enhancement and 100% line-beat rate print inspection. This latest advancement from the leader in mass imaging will be on display in booth #5400 at the upcoming ATExpo, scheduled to take place in Rosemont, Illinois from September 26 - 28, 2006.
Deserving of its award-winning status, HawkEye effectively delivers 100% post-print verification without adversely affecting cycle time. In fact, this easy-to-use tool operates within the line beat rate, quickly identifying faulty boards and removing them in real time. Unlike traditional 2-D inspection programs that require fairly involved programming and rely on data rich, quantitative inspection routines, HawkEye is simple to set-up and utilizes streamed image analysis to quickly isolate errors.
Throughout the exhibition, HawkEye will be shown on DEK's Horizon 01i printing platform. With a 10 second cycle time and Cpk 2.0@ +/- 25 µm, Horizon 01i is the premiere printing system for the shifting demands of modern electronics manufacturers. The versatility of the machine ensures maximum performance in any process environment: high-mix or high-volume advanced assemblies. DEK's Horizon 01i capabilities are further extended with the advanced features of the Instinctiv(TM) user interface and the ISCAN(TM) Intelligent Control Area Network, allowing for easy operator control, maximum uptime and low cost of ownership.
Other highlights of DEK's display will include live demonstrations of the revolutionary VectorGuard(TM) stencil system, a unique interchangeable foil system that has altered conventional thinking about stencils. The innovative stencil technology allows manufacturers to easily change product on the line or completely change processes, moving seamlessly from SnPb paste printing to Pb-free printing to adhesive printing by simply changing the stencil foil. VectorGuard is environmentally friendly, easy to use and extremely cost-effective.
