Latest Product in the Fujitsu Family of Degaussers to Debut at RSA 2007

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 5 /-- Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Inc., one of the world's leading suppliers of innovative computer products including hard disk drives, peripherals and biometric security solutions, today announced its new Mag EraSURE(R) P3M degausser. The latest offering in the degausser family, the small form factor Fujitsu Mag EraSURE P3M device can be deployed on a rack mount or table top, and is a viable solution for industries and government agencies that require fast and secure removal of magnetically recorded data from hard disk drives (HDDs), removable disks and backup tapes in environments where electricity may be inaccessible.

The Fujitsu Mag EraSURE family of products utilizes patented rare earth magnet technology to permanently degauss magnetically recorded information. The P3M product ensures complete erasure of all data, including servo and calibration data, leaving no recoverable trace or residue. With its fully manual, single pass operation and speedy erasure cycle time, the device is ideal for quick and secure degaussing of hard disk drives, backup tapes and other magnetic media containing confidential or highly sensitive information.
