Samputensili Automates Gear Deburb/Chamfering With New S 450/750 DBC
ROCKFORD, IL October 24, 2001 - Samputensili has introduced a Gear Deburr Cell that, for the first time, automates deburring and chamfering of bevel gears.
The new S 450/750 DBC Gear Debur Cell eliminates the need to manually debur and chamfer gears through use of a FANUC 6-axis servo-driven robot and powerful programmable controller. In addition, the 450/750 DBC can be programmed to perform both top and bottom tooth and root gear deburring and chamfering geometry in a fraction of the time -- and with more precise consistent accuracy part-to-part.
Other benefits to the user include:
*Elimination of Repetitive Stress Syndrome common in people performing manual deburring and chamfering operations.
*Complete uniformity of chamfering part-to-part, particularly critical in aerospacem applications where the highest chamfer accuracies are required.
*Significant reductions in the time and cost normally associated with most deburring operations.
The 450/750 DBC is available in two sizes: 2" through-hole with 18" (450 mm) dia., and 4" through-hole with 30" (750 mm) dia. Both models are extremely compact, and easily integrated with automation into existing cells and systems.
The 450/750 DBC joins the full line of Samputensili gear-making machines and tools. The 450/750 is offered in North America through Meritage Manufacturing Solutions, a division of Meritage, Inc. and the Meritage national distribution affiliates.
