Micron Technology Introduces 512 Megabit DDR400 Components

San Jose, California, March 24, 2003 - Micron Technology, Inc., is introducing industry leading, high-density 512Mb DDR400 components and is demonstrating them in a PC3200 platform this week at JEDEX San Jose. JEDEX San Jose is March 24-25, 2003 at the Silicon Valley Conference Center in San Jose, California. Micron's 512Mb DDR400 devices are produced on 0.11 micron process technology and are fully compliant with the industry-standard JEDEC DDR400 specification. "Micron continues to show our leadership in developing and demonstrating high-density DDR SDRAM," said Bob Donnelly, Vice President of Micron's Computing and Consumer Group. "Not only did we deliver the industry's first 4GB DDR DIMM last week, we are now showcasing our high-density DDR400 device. The 512Mb DDR400 device raises the ceiling for system memory densities in dual channel systems. This will be the first look the industry will have at a high-density DDR400 platform. We expect to validate this component and module by mid-2003."

The platform uses Micron components and modules, as well as internally-developed memory controllers and signal analysis software. Micron is the only memory supplier to internally develop DDR system development solutions and provide customers with the tools for high-speed system design. "We are focusing not only on developing advanced memory technology, but also on ways to help our customers implement our new high-performance memory products," added Donnelly.

Micron Technology, Inc., is one of the world's leading providers of advanced semiconductor solutions.
