Monarch Computer Releases the World's Smallest DC Powered Desktop PC, The Monarch Traveler

"The System With a Purpose" is ready to go anywhere you go.

Atlanta - June 13, 2003- From their headquarters in Tucker, GA, Monarch Computer Systems. Inc. announces a new line of small-form-factor 12-volt DC-powered systems targeted toward the home and mobile entertainment market. The Traveler line is designed for simple implementation in all types of vehicles. The Traveler can be used as an MP3 player, DVD player, gaming console, CD-Burner, GPS system, and TV capture and video editing station for any mobile home, RV, boat or car. Additionally, the small and whisper-quiet design means the system can be used in kiosks, point-of-sale environments, presentations and fixed-function applications like device/network monitoring, Internet firewall, and home security monitoring where noise and size are greater considerations than raw processing power. The Monarch Traveler 1000 System starts at $589.

"For all of the applications that this system is suited to, the Monarch Traveler system is a great bargain," said Trey Harris, President of Monarch Computer Systems. "Imagine what you would pay to install a DVR, DVD player, 40GB MP3 player, CD-player, CD-burner, Video Editing Station, e-mail station and Internet browser into your RV. Now imagine how much space all of those devices would take up. While you're on vacation you can plug all of your digital devices and transfer their contents into the Traveler and instantly free up more memory in your camcorder or digital camera; you can spend the evening watching the day's events on your monitor or TV, and with an Internet hook-up you can even share them with your jealous friends and co-workers back home via e-mail."
