Minarik's Ultra Compact M1 Drive
Glendale, CA-Minarik Corporation has just announced the release of their new compact M1 DC drive! Mounted on a gold chassis, the M1 has a footprint of only 4.30" X 2.64" while conveniently maintaining the industry standard for mounting hole location.
This very compact drive is rated for 5A (1/2 hp) with 115VAC input and 10A (1hp) with the addition of an optional heatsink. The M1 can fit where most other drives with the same current ratings can't!
The M1 has a programmable chip on it that sets the range for the acceleration, deceleration, current limit and IR compensation trimmer pots. These ranges can be pre-programmed by the factory to accommodate specific application requirements- eliminating the need for costly hardware changes! With a custom program, the trimmer pots (except minimum and maximum) can also be eliminated if desired.
Included on the M1 is an inhibit function and a convenient jumper that can adjust the factory set trimmer pot ranges to fit smaller motors (1/15 to 1/8 hp). There are two additional enhanced features on the M1. One is a wider (than typical) IR compensation range and the other is a safety feature where the M1 will follow the controlled acceleration ramp to set speed after any motor stall.
With it's compact size, standard features, programmability and 1% speed regulation, the M1 is excellent for both OEMs and Users that require power and performance in an extremely small package.
