8 Watt DC-DC Converter Improved Cost and Reduces Size by 30%

Wrentham, MA — Power Sources Unlimited, Inc. announces the addition of the new TEL 8 series of isolated 8 Watt DC-DC converters which are housed in a very compact DIP-16 metal package to our TRACO Power portfolio. They are an economical solution for space critical and cost sensitive applications in instrumentation, IT and industrial electronics.

Offering a 2:1 wide input voltage range along with a high efficiency of up to 86% which allows for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +70°C without derating (+70°C to 80°C with 5%/K derating). TEL 8 series is available in both single 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24VDC and dual ±12 and ±15VDC output voltages. Standard features include overload and short circuit protection, fully regulated outputs and 1500VDC I/O isolation. An input filter makes the converters comply with conducted emission EN 55022 Class A and EN 61000-4-6 ESD immunity standard.
