Magic Power Introduces Compact Size DC/DC Converter for Railroad and Telecommunication Applications
Oct.1 2004, Sunnyvale, Magic Power Technology Inc. announces the release of its newest member in the MPD-810 DC/DC converter family (P/N MPI-810H-V). This 30~120VDC DC/DC converter is the second-generation design from Magic Power to further reduce both system integration and configuration costs.
The MPD-810H-V can generate 85 watts under conventional cooling and 120 watts with 18 CFM forced air. Some added bonus includes power ON/OFF function, fully protected against output overload and short circuit, and automatically recovers upon overload condition. Its MTBF value is greater than 135,000 hours.
This DC/DC converter is designed for both railroad and telecommunication applications although it can be used for general purposes. The MPD-810H-V not only shares the same dimension as the rest of the family (3.3x6.0x1.5") but also provides you with ATX output options, utilizes a thermally efficient U channel chassis design, and offers a compact design to enable easy installation inside a 1U chassis.
