Model 7212 A/B Switch Maintains Position & Continuity in the Event of a Power Failure



Electro Standards Laboratories, Cranston, RI, announces the PathWay® Model 7212 Remotely Controllable DB25 A/B Switch. The Model 7212 allows the sharing of a single DB25 interface device connected to the Common port among two other devices connected to the A and B ports. For reliability, the switch position and continuity are maintained even in the event of a power failure.

The Model 7212 may be controlled manually via pushbutton. Remote switching of the unit is via an RS232 (DB-9) serial port which may be connected to any standard RS232 computer port. Switch position status may be attained via the LED display or via the remote RS232 serial port. The switched ports are transparent to all data. To complete the package, the Model 7212 is enclosed in a rugged aluminum case that provides EMI/RFI shielding.
