DataTaker-Rugged and Reliable Industrial Dataloggers

DataTaker DT80 with built-in web server

CHESTERLAND OH — At CAS DataLoggers we supply data logging solutions to users in every conceivable field. For our customers working in heavy industrial environments asking for a rugged, easy-to-use solution, our recommendation is the flagship dataTaker DT80 intelligent data logger. The DT80's universal inputs enable flexible connection with practically any sensor type so users can log temperature, current/voltage, pressure, 4-20mA loops, and many more values. Call the CAS DataLogger experts at (800) 956-4437 and see how dataTaker can streamline your process, monitor your machinery, and more!

The Intelligent Solution

The dataTaker DT80 is an intelligent data logger with an extensive array of features allowing it to be used across a wide variety of industrial applications. This robust, stand alone, low power data logger features USB memory stick support, 18-bit resolution, extensive communications capabilities and a built-in display. The dataTaker DT80's Dual Channel concept allows up to 10 isolated or 15 common-referenced analog inputs to be used in many different combinations.

Versatile Communication

With support for multiple SDI-12 sensor networks, Modbus for SCADA systems, FTP and Web interface, and 12V regulated output to power sensors, the DT80 is ready to be rolled out into heavy industrial environments whether for food processing, manufacturing, product testing, etc.

Communications features include RS232 with modem support, Ethernet and USB memory stick ports. Connect to the DT80 locally, remotely or over the Internet. The web interface allows users to configure the DT80, access logged data and see current measurements as mimics or in a list using a web browser. FTP provides data to your office over the internet or mobile phone network, without the need for polling or specific host software.

Universal Configurable

Analog and digital channels, high-speed counter inputs, phase encoder inputs and programmable serial sensor channels allow the DT80 to easily connect to most sensors and data measurement sources. Using a single dataTaker, users can log:

  • Temperature

  • Voltage/current

  • 4-20mA loops

  • Resistance

  • Bridges

  • Strain gauges

  • Frequency

  • Digital

  • Serial

Values can be scaled, logged and returned in engineering units or within statistical reporting. Users can quickly group sampling, logging, alarm and control tasks within schedules to suit their requirements. Smart sensors, GPS, PLCs and other intelligent devices are supported via two serial sensor ports (RS232 or RS422/485), with our optional CANgate interface available for CAN-bus applications.

Easy Data Management

Store up to 10 million data points in user-defined memory while logging as much or as little as you need with independent control of schedule size. Just overwrite or stop logging once the allocated memory is full. You can also choose to archive data on alarm event, to copy to USB memory or to transfer via FTP: the choice is yours.

Software Included!

dEX is an intuitive graphical interface included with all dataTaker dataloggers that allows you to configure the dataTaker, view real-time data in mimics, trend charts or tables, and retrieve your historical data for analysis. dEX runs directly from your web browser and can be accessed either locally or remotely, anywhere that a TCP/IP connection is available including worldwide over the Internet. You can use any of the logger's built-in communications ports to view dEX including Ethernet, USB and RS-232.
