Datalogic Mobile announces the manufacturing of the Pegaso rugged mobile computer will be moved to USA
Eugene, Oregon February 25, 2009 - Datalogic Mobile announces manufacturing of the Pegaso rugged mobile computer will be moved to the company's Eugene, Oregon facility. The Datalogic Pegaso is a rugged industrial PDA used in warehouse, field force, and retail applications. Since its launch in 2006, manufacturing of the Pegaso had been outsourced to off shore contractors. Now manufacturing of the product will be in the USA.
Rich Spindler, director or operations for Datalogic Mobile Americas comments: "We decided to bring the Pegaso home to our state-of-the-art facility where we provide the best of American quality and expertise. It makes more sense to keep local people employed producing a quality product."
The Eugene, Oregon facility will be building the Pegaso and shipping it to distributors and resellers through out the United States, and around the world.
