CAS Annouces New DataTaker Series 3 Dataloggers

The Latest Versions of the Bestselling dataTaker Family

CAS DataLoggers along with popular manufacturer dataTaker is proud to announce the release of dataTaker's new Series 3 dataloggers, which offer users even more features combined with higher-precision measurements. Several improvements have been made upon the long-running Series 2 data loggers, all based directly from the needs and comments of customers the world over. Designed for a wide variety of applications and focusing on versatility across many different measurement types, dataTaker devices are built to last in the face of harsh environments and years of constant use.

Improved cold junction compensation is now available using a high-precision RTD sensor accurate to 0.1%, allowing up to 5x more accurate thermocouple measurements. Single ended two wire resistance measurements allowing 3 resistance measurements per input channel have also been added to each data logger, useful whenever operators need to monitor sensor cable integrity.

Additionally, a 5V terminal has now been included to power external devices with a limit of 25mA; this new feature extends the flexibility of the dataloggers even further. As another added value, the DT85 series of dataloggers now offers seven high speed counters--these extra counters are shared with digital channels 6-8. This addition makes the DT85 even more viable for pulse counting applications, including measuring flow rate in the wastewater industry and integrated engine speed for automotive design.

Series 3 products are now available for the entire CAS inventory of dataTaker dataloggers, including the DT80, DT85, the environmental E series, the G series of geotechnical loggers, the industrial I series, and the modem-equipped M series.
