DataLoggers accommodate demands of renewables market.

Press Release Summary:

Used for measuring solar irradiance and solar panel output energy, Electrocorder PV-3 records min, max, and ave irradiance from 0-1500 m-2. While SR-1R solar irradiation data logger is used for proposed installation sites, DC-3VA DC voltage and current datalogger measures energy output of solar panel as well as charging battery cells. Memory capacity for all dataloggers is 32,000 TRMS voltage values per channel, supporting up to 300 days of continuous recording depending on setup criteria.

CAS DataLoggers Introduces New Solar PV Product Range

Low-Cost Power Data Loggers from Electrocorder

CHESTERLAND OH - CAS DataLoggers along with Electrocorder have announced the addition of a number of new test and measurement Data Loggers for the Renewables market. These new DC data loggers record patterns of Onsite Solar Irradiance, Charging Circuits, Photovoltaic Cells, DC Motors and much more. Given a recent dramatic increase in the local market, CAS DataLoggers has experienced a driving need from customers looking for voltage and current measurement solutions, particularly in the Voltage Optimization sector.

With Solar PV installations increasing in many countries, attention has turned to the ongoing efficiencies of modules and if they are delivering what they set out to do. Until recently solar installations primarily involved a site survey which took irradiation at the site into consideration; now consumers are asking to see the efficiencies of the modules based on irritation and power generation over time, i.e. how much energy is the site consuming and when is it exporting to the grid? This is of particular interest to many industrial and domestic consumers, particularly as part of continuing energy audits and responsibilities around carbon reduction.

The new Electrocorder products for renewables include the PV-3 for measuring Solar Irradiance and Solar Panel output energy, which records the minimum, average and maximum irradiance 0-1500m-2. The SR-1R is a Solar Irradiation data logger for use in proposed installation sites, while the DC-3VA DC Voltage and Current datalogger is perfect for measuring the energy output of a solar panel and is also used to measure charging battery cells.

The Electrocorder product range is renowned for its simplicity and accuracy in recording data over set periods of time alongside the advanced Electrosoft software for data analysis. The memory capacity of the data loggers is 32,000 TRMS voltage values per channel (10 bit) which can give users up to 300 days of continuous recording (depending on setup criteria).

The advantage of Electrocorder products over similar products is that these data loggers constantly sample information recording the minimum, maximum and average over the set period; many other products available on the market only take brief snapshots of what is going on and can miss 99.9% of the data that is critical to analysis. In contrast, Electrocorder data loggers provide easy to use electrical measurement equipment with excellent software analysis at a low cost.

The Electrocorder family includes loggers with one to three channels for current and/or voltage in single phase and three phase AC models and DC input versions all in a variety of recording ranges.

Electrocorder systems are supplied with all necessary connection leads, software and communications cables.
