OpenTech Systems Announces DR/Xpert for DB2
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 25 -- OpenTech Systems, Inc., a leading provider of Disaster Recovery Solutions, Data and Storage Management Solutions and Data Security solutions for IBM z/OS centric data centers, today unveiled DR/Xpert for DB2 at Share's Spring 2008 Technology Conference. DR/Xpert for DB2 automatically audits, backs up and recovers DB2 table spaces eliminating the need to manually create and maintain DB2 image copy and recovery JCL.
DR/Xpert for DB2 performs intelligent auditing of the DB2 catalog, gathers data about new, changed, and deleted table spaces and indexes, and automatically generates the backup and recovery JCL to drive IBM, CA or BMC DB2 utilities. To ensure an efficient recovery, DR/Xpert for DB2 also performs intelligent grouping of DB2 objects and provides the automated processes to determine the most efficient object image copy and recovery. In addition, DR/Xpert for DB2 supports User-defined Recovery Groups so DB2 objects can be grouped together and assigned a recovery priority which can significantly improve recovery time and recovery point objectives.
