Telog Instruments Introduces the SSO-31 A New Data Recorder to Measure and Record CSO/SSO Events

Victor, New York - Telog Instruments, Inc. announces the introduction of the SSO-31, a level data recorder that monitors and documents combined and sanitary sewer overflow events in
wastewater collection systems. The SSO-31 represents Telog's commitment to help utilities meet the zero tolerance policy the EPA has implemented on CSO/SSO surcharge events.

"We have been closely monitoring the EPA's efforts to get these surcharge events under control," says Barry Ceci, President, Telog Instruments. "With hundreds municipalities registering tens of thousands events per year, we know a method of monitoring to effectivelycharacterize and document CSO/SSO will be a key element for utilities to work toward compliance with tougher EPA standards."

About The SSO-31

The SSO-31 measures and records surcharges including the level, date, time and duration of each event. In a typical application, the SSO-31 can be configured to sample level every five seconds
and save surcharge event history for more than three months. Data stored in the SSO-31 may be conveniently collected and transferred to the user's host computer using a Palm Pilot based data transfer unit or directly to a laptop running Telogers for Windows software.

The SSO-31 is a rugged design, constructed of 316 stainless steel and polyurethane cable. It can be permanently installed in a wastewater manhole. The unit is hung near the top of the manhole using supplied mounting brackets and a hanging chain. This makes installation easy and permits data collection with NO confined entry. With battery life typically exceeding seven years, maintenance costs are practically non-existent.

Telogers for Windows(R) Software

Keeping ease of use, flexibility and customer need as it's number one priority, Telog has developed a comprehensive user-friendly software package, Telogers(R). Compatible with Telog's
entire product line, Telogers compiles the SSO-31 event history into a database providing a documented history of CSO/SSO level for each monitored site. The customer can then easily tailor Telogers, a Windows-based package, to fit their individual needs.
