Exegy TextMiner Version 1.2 Redefines High Performance

ST. LOUIS, April 11 -- Exegy announces the release of TextMiner Version 1.2, taking high-speed text mining to the next level by delivering more advanced features, better integration and greater caching.

"The enhanced feature set offers high volume text mining solutions for government and commercial organizations, making Exegy TextMiner the most advanced text mining product on the market today," explains Robert Dutcher - vice president, Marketing. "Performance hasn't been compromised, since our architecture ensures that increasing the complexity of analysis does not decrease the throughput rate. This means that data search, transform, filter and analysis speeds are independent of computational complexity."

The Exegy TextMiner appliance includes updated features that further expand the limits of reconfigurable hardware and software to create powerful solutions to quickly analyze massive data stores with Terabytes and Petabytes of data. By harnessing the speed of hardware and the flexibility of software, TextMiner can retrieve and process unstructured data hundreds of times faster than traditional search solutions available on the market today. This means that while other mining applications, such as medical and healthcare record analysis or e-mail analysis for compliance or e-discovery, can mine 5,000 files per hour, Exegy can mine more than 500,000 files per hour. With near linear scalability, additional appliances generate even greater performance increases.

Improved Pattern Matching

TextMiner now supports searches with up to 50 regular expressions to identify text that fits a specific pattern, such as phone or credit card numbers, providing, for example, scanning of out-going e-mail streams for improper disclosure of social security numbers for legal compliance.

Expanded Integration

Exegy's new C and C++ Application Program Interfaces (API) and IBM TotalStorage Proven(TM) status ensures 3rd party applications and storage systems can easily integrate with the Exegy appliance.

Greater Onboard Storage

Each appliance has up to 4.8 TBs of high-speed persistent cache, which can be used for creation of unstructured operational datastores, datamarts and caching of streaming data.

Availability

Exegy TextMiner Version 1.2 English edition is available April 3, 2006 on the Exegy A2000 appliance platform running Linux OS.
