Mil-Spec Rugged Data Bus Transformer Supports High Speed Data Transmission

Ideal For High-Reliability Industrial and Military Applications

ROMOLAND, CA-Sep 26, 2003-With a minimum input impedance of 3,000 Ohms or 7200 Ohms over the full temperature range of up to -55 to +130°C, the rugged 4260-1646 and 4260-1647 Series Data Bus Interface Transformers from Datatronics Romoland, Inc., support high speed data transmission requirements in a wide range of mission critical industrial and military applications.

Designed to meet Mil-Std-1553 A/B and MAC AIR Specifications A-3818, A-5690, A-5232 and A-4905, the 4260-1646 and 4260-1647 Series Transformers offer high electrical performance while operating within challenging environments. The Model 4260-1646 and 4260-1647 Series also meets MIL-PRF-21038, Grade 7, Class S, and is DESC approved as part numbers 82030-01 through -10.

Supporting a wide range of instrumentation, data collection and communications equipment, the Model 4260-1646 and 4260-1647 Series features a frequency range (no load) of 75 KHz to 1 MHz. Other key specifications include: overshoot of 1V maximum, common mode rejection at 45dB minimum, and droop at less than 20 percent.

Up to 10 standard turns ratios are available with the Model 4260-1646 and 4260-1647 Series. They range from a 1:1 turns ratio (primary 1-3, secondary 4-8) to a turns ratio of 3.2:1 (primary 5-7, secondary 1-3). Turns ratio accuracy is within +3 percent.

Available in both flat pack through-hole and compact surface mount packages, the Model 4260-1646 and 4260-1647 Series is fully encapsulated to protect its circuitry. Available in both single and dual packages, the surface mount Model 4260-1646 and 4260-1647 Series features a thin low profile of only 6.35 mm (0.250 in) in a package measuring 12.7 mm (0.500 in) long by 8.89 mm (0.350 in) wide.

Both tube and surface mount packaging are available to support automated assembly. The 4260-1646 and 4260-1647 Series is priced beginning at $17.00 each in quantities of 5,000 units depending on configuration. OEM volume pricing is available upon request. Lead-time is stock to 8 weeks.
