New Analog / Digital Data Acquisition System Offers Multi-Channel Capabilities

Torrance, CA - January 10, 2003 - Pulse Instruments, a pioneer in image sensor testing, introduces a new data acquisition system for imaging devices with analog outputs (CCDs, IR FPAs and CMOS image sensors). The PI-3105 Multi-Channel A/D Data Acquisition System is a flexible, high-speed system with exceptional low-noise performance. It features programmable gain, filter, strobe timing and CDS timing on a per channel basis and offers global offset control. Ideal for test applications ranging from consumer imaging devices to satellite, astronomy, military, medical and industrial imaging devices, this system has affordable A/D modules that can be swapped out easily to optimize the system for speed or resolution. The 14-bit/l0 MHz modules are ready to ship, and 16-bit, 12-bit, and 10-bit modules at various speeds are currently in development. Engineered for sensitive data acquisition, all analog components are electronically isolated from the digital section, ensuring an ultra low-noise environment.

The PI-3105 is a cost-effective solution for testing analog devices with multiple outputs. The system is scalable, offering from 1 - 32 channels of signal conditioning and A/D conversion, and the digital data are multiplexed for efficient use of data acquisition channels. Digital data are interfaced into their high-speed digital acquisition solution, the 100 MHz PI-41000 card in CompactPCI. The PI-3105 completes Pulse Instruments' third generation of integrated test solutions for imaging.

Pulse Instruments has developed equipment and systems for imager testing since 1975. Pulse Instruments' high-performance designs and product flexibility continue to set new standards for R & D characterization and production testing in the imaging industry.
