Piller Introduces Enhanced, Easy to Use Graphical Interface for Mission Critical power Quality Monitoring and Management System

Middletown, NY, April 28, 2003 - Piller Inc., a leader in the design and implementation of mission critical power quality solutions, has introduced an enhanced, easy to use graphical interface for its data acquisition and management information system. The new InSite Plus Monitoring and Management System provides a comprehensive, real-time assessment of essential equipment and operations within a facility. Based on industry standard PC technology utilizing Microsoft Windows OS and application software, Piller's InSite Plus is custom programmed for each facility's monitoring needs. The system provides users with a complete site-specific solution that cannot be duplicated by a standard-off-the-shelf package. The InSite Plus system, designed for use with Piller's line of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, switchgear, and engineered products, is ideal for a variety of applications ranging from large power supply equipment to security and fire alarm systems. Specific facilities that employ the solution include healthcare, telecommunications, data processing and emergency response. Through custom, detailed graphics and a highly intuitive interface, the InSite Plus system provides critical, real-time information, so operating personnel can quickly diagnose and resolve a problem. The human-machine interface (HMI) design, based on graphical, object-oriented features, allows the user to intuitively monitor and manage a facility by interacting with color-coded power system diagrams, equipment elevation drawings, floor plans, alarm event logs, power trending history, detailed help screens, and comprehensive system utilities. The InSite Plus system utilizes a scalable network architecture that supports multiple data collection interfaces from leading manufacturers. This built-in flexibility allows for system expansion as a facility grows and power monitoring and management needs change. Operational, trending, and alarm event logs are automatically generated for analysis and diagnosis. The system includes Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) compatible software, enabling report data to be exported to additional spreadsheets and database software for increased facility and operational data analysis capability. Multiple users can access the system concurrently through any number of viewing stations connected to a dedicated local area network (LAN) or over an existing facility network. In addition, password-protected remote viewing stations allow off-site access to the InSite Plus system through a standard telephone modem. An optional remote paging feature is available to automatically alert key personnel of user-defined events, including malfunctions or alarm conditions, at any time during the day or night. Pricing for the InSite Plus Monitoring and Management System is dependant upon customer requirements. Contact Piller at (800) 597-6937 for more information.
