Irvine, CA (July 8, 2002) - ADLINK Technology Inc., the leading supplier of open-platform PC based measurement and automation equipment, today introduced the PXI-2010, a 4CH simultaneous 2MS/s A/D and 2 CH 1MS/s D/A multifunction card. The PXI-2000 series combines advantages of CompactPCI's ruggedized EuroCard architecture and VXI's intra-chassis signaling to create a flexible & cost effective multi-function card for the instrumentation market.

PXI-2010 uses the latest carrier and daughter modular design concept, which separates the analog circuitry and digital circuitry into two cards, thus it greatly reduces the signal noise generated by digital parts and increases the Effective Numbers of Bits (ENOB) in the data measurement. PXI products provide trigger and clock signals on the J2 bus of CompactPCI and maintain complete interoperability with CompactPCI.

Versatile trigger function of PXI-2010 allows user to trigger data acquisition to start and stop in order to get valid information from the fast changing transient data. Thus allowing PXI-2010 to acquire accurate high bandwidth signal from ultrasonic systems, radars, sonar, and high frequency transient signals. Special intelligent timing control logic and data buffer management allows high-speed data I/0 throughput at the same time, which enables accurate high-speed waveform generation and measurement with no time delay. This makes PXI-2000 series the ideal device for stimulus/response testing.

Calibrating the PXI-2010 is achieved with a simple software command to automatically adjust the offset and gain setting to achieve best data accuracy. Multiple card synchronization is done with high-speed signal bus for trigger and clock transmission. Such interface allows multiple cards to be integrated into a system and provides card-to-card synchronization. PXI-2010 is equipped numerous advanced features to make an ideal device to measure high-speed signal and perform high performance system testing.
