Exacq Technologies introduces broad, new line of DSP-Based Low-Cost Data Acquisition Boards for PXI Platform

Two New Product Families Offering 28 Different PXI-based Data Acquisition Boards

INDIANAPOLIS - December 10, 2003 -Exacq Technologies, Inc. extends its unique data acquisition board offerings with the release of two new product families of data acquisition boards for the PXI platform. The XH Series High Speed Data
Acquisition board line and the XM Series Multifunction Analog I/O board line offer DSP-based performance and accuracy at a groundbreaking price point for the PXI platform, starting at just $795.

Utilizing a local 143 MHz, 32-bit digital signal processor (DSP), 16 MB of onboard memory, and PCI bus mastering, the new PXI-based Exacq data acquisition boards provide glitch-free capture and/or playback of analog signals of a length limited only by host RAM size, even under Windows.

XH Series High Speed Data Acquisition Boards
The XH Series High Speed Data Acquisition boards for PXI consist of twelve product offerings. Dual analog inputs channels provide simultaneous 20 million samples per second per channel or up to 25 million samples per second on a single input, 12 bit A/D resolution, and 16 MB local acquisition memory with 1 Hz sample clock resolution. Dual output analog channels offer simultaneous 20 million samples per second per output or 40 million samples per second on a single output, Arb/Function generation, analog
reconstruction filtering, and 16 MB local waveform memory. Boards equipped with Digital I/O provide 16 digital I/Os, which operate synchronously with the analog I/O. Optional RF Multiplexer modules allow for up to 25 multiplexed inputs.

XM Series Multifunction Analog I/O Boards
The XM Series Multifunction Analog I/O boards for PXI consist of sixteen product offerings. The XM Series offers up to 32 single-ended or 16 differential mode inputs sampled at up to 1 MHz, 16 bit A/D resolution, 16 MB local acquisition memory, up to 32 Digital I/Os synchronous with analog I/O, up to two waveform-quality output channels with up to 16 MB local waveform memory, flexible triggering modes, and three counter/timers. The product family consists of both standard-gain and high-gain versions.

Extensive Software included
Included with all Exacq PXI-based products is an extensive complement of applications, tools, drivers and sample source code. The Exacq Bench(TM) application provides a wealth of measurement tools, including an oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, waveform generator, DC voltage generator, logic analyzer,
multimeter and a strip chart recorder. Complete source code for Exacq Bench is included at no charge. Exacq SDK(TM) is a complete software developer's kit with a large library of source code for C++, Visual Basic, and ActiveX. DSP tools in Exacq SDK include FFT and Digital Filtering. The ExacqXL(TM) application allows for the direct capture of data into Microsoft Excel. Exacq Control Center(TM) is a complete configuration utility for all Exacq Hardware. Numerous third-party drivers are also provided at no charge, including drivers for LabVIEW, MATLAB and TestPoint.

Optimized for the PXI Platform
The rapidly-growing PXI platform is the ideal choice for data acquisition due to its open standard, high performance, low cost, mechanical ruggedness and synchronization capabilities. Exacq PXI-based boards are designed to take advantage of the unique PXI architecture, supporting multi-board synchronization through triggering as either the star trigger controller or peripheral and bussed sample clocks.

Exacq PXI-based Data Acquisition Boards Pricing and Availability
The entire line of Exacq XH Series and XM Series PXI-based products are available immediately. List pricing for the XM Series ranges from $795 to $1295. List pricing for the XH Series ranges from $1,395 to $1,995.
