Cost-effective HDDs now included D-sub connector series...

SANTA ANA, CA (December 15, 2003) -ITT Industries, Cannon announces an addition to its comprehensive range of ZD Series D-subminiature connectors for cost-sensitive markets. The high-density D-subs (HDDs) are offered with 15, 26, 44 or 62 contacts. The connectors come in a wide variety of styles, and are priced significantly lower than other D subminiature devices.

Targeted for applications where price is a factor, ZD D subminiature connectors feature stamped contacts with gold flash plating over the contact area. The current carrying capacity is 5A, while contact resistance is 20m ohm on mated contacts. Devices have an operational temperature range of -55 to +105 degrees C.

"A diverse range of users in industries such as control and measurement, computer, telecom and medical will now be able to take advantage of our substantially lower priced, high density ZD range. High density devices are available in solder cup, crimp cable, straight and 90 degree PCB styles," said Product Manager, Ed Kim.

Production lead-times for the ZD Series is 4-6 weeks.
