Czech GTS Novera Deploys Ceragon's Broadband Wireless Solutions

Ceragon's FibeAir(R) 1500P Software-Based Radios Help GTS Novera Converge Multiple Networks With a Variety of Applications and Services

TEL AVIV, Israel, October 5 // -- Ceragon Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ:CRNT; TASE: CRNT), www.ceragon.com, a leading provider of high-capacity wireless backhaul solutions, today announced that GTS Novera, a Czech telecommunications operator, is expanding its SDH network using FibeAir 1500P broadband wireless links. This deployment of FibeAir 1500P, valued at over $1 million, is part of ongoing projects undertaken by GTS Novera to provide backhaul for ADSL and last mile access connectivity for large enterprises.

GTS Novera has been deploying dozens of Ceragon's FibeAir 1500P software-based radios providing wireless point-to-point connectivity to expand their SDH transmission network and as solution for DSLAM connectivity in areas where there is no fiber optics reach and as a cost-effective alternative to existing leased lines.

"Following the combination of several telecommunications operators, we needed to converge different networks with a variety of applications and services, and came to the conclusion that the FibeAir 1500P best addresses our needs and requirements," said Mr. Vaclav Dolinek, CTO of GTS Novera. "The FibeAir 1500P supports a wide range of frequencies and Ceragon offered the best technology for a cost-effective deployment, in addition to highly professional services. We were very impressed with Ceragon's IP capabilities, which deliver very high throughput."

GTS Novera is the second largest nationwide provider of telecommunications solutions for business in the Czech Republic. The company was formed in 2005 through the merger of two telecommunication operators - GTS CZECH and Aliatel - and has since merged additional three operators:
Contactel, Nextra and Telenor Networks. GTS Novera offers a comprehensive portfolio of voice, data and Internet services.

"Ceragon has once again proved that it is a powerful provider of TDM and IP backhaul solutions," said Ira Palti, President and CEO, Ceragon Networks Ltd. "The decision to continue working exclusively with Ceragon as GTS Novera's high-capacity microwave provider, further establishes our company as a global leader in backhaul solutions. Ceragon, which is the company of choice for many converging networks around the world, is completely committed to providing a cost effective alternative to fiber or leased lines."

"With Ceragon's FibeAir(TM) solutions, next generation fixed wireless operators like GTS Novera can immediately deploy seamless, high capacity and spectrally efficient connectivity from the backbone, across the fixed networks, right to the customer," added Mr. Palti. "Ceragon meets the requirements for high quality service convergence, allowing operators the ability to offer next generation services at affordable costs.

The FibeAir 1500P radios provided to GTS Novera include four types of
interfaces: STM-1 (155Mbps), 2xSTM-1 (311Mbps), Fast Ethernet and Fast Ethernet +8E1.

Ceragon partnered in this project with VUMS Datacom, a Czech company specializing in delivering high-end solutions for the telecommunications and data communications industries.
