Rexroth CDT3 ISO Hydraulic Cylinder Provides Cushioning to Eliminate Pressure Peaks

Company will display CDT3 cylinders at IMTS 2002, September 4-11, 2002 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Booth #4222

The CDT3 ISO hydraulic cylinder from the Industrial Hydraulics division of Bosch Rexroth provides a clear, constructive design and modern bearing and sealing systems for long service life. The cylinder's maintenance-free, self-adjusting, end-position cushioning with integrated throttle and check valve function eliminates harmful pressure peaks and provides easy commissioning and low energy cushioning for optimized cycle times. The CDT3 also offers flexibility of installation due to the freely selectable position of the port connections. The CDT3 design meets ISO 6020/2 requirements for bore/piston rod combinations, mounting styles and port options.

Features and functions include:

o Polyurethane double-acting wiper and compact rod seal for excellent wear resistance
o Integrated one-piece ductile iron head/bearing for increased service life
o Both male and female rod end threads available for installation flexibility
o One-piece piston, with polyurethane or PTFE piston seal and fabric-reinforced phenolic resin bearings, eliminates stick slip and provides positive sealing
o A piston nut that retains the piston to the rod and is mechanically secured to eliminate separation
o Captive air bleeds standard on head and cap to assist in system commissioning
o Cylinder tube piloted on the I.D. to eliminate misalignment between the tube and head/cap
o BSPP or ISO 6149 metric ports provide positive sealing and eliminate leaks
