CyberLock Electronic Lock System Offers Affordable Access Control

Corvallis, Oregon, January 12, 2009-The CyberLock Electronic Lock System, manufactured by Videx, offers a powerful, full-featured access control solution for schools with key control problems and concerns about who has access to their buildings. With CyberLock, schools have the opportunity to implement an affordable system that is easy to install and can quickly provide the physical security and key control they need.

The CyberLock Electronic Lock System is unique in that it uses the lock hardware that is already present in school buildings so no expensive hardwiring or structural changes are required for installation. Simply replace the mechanical cylinders inside a building's existing locks with CyberLock electronic cylinders.

The system includes the CyberLock electronic lock cylinder that cannot be picked and CyberKey, an electronic key that cannot be duplicated. Each user's key can be programmed to access specific locks on selected days and only during certain hours on those days. The system entirely eliminates the expense of re-keying because each key can be pre-set with a date to begin operation as well as an expiration date. If a key is lost, it can be quickly blocked from the system.

Most importantly, the CyberLock Electronic Lock System increases accountability through an audit trail of lock openings that is stored in the locks and keys. This detailed audit report allows school management to track traffic through their buildings.
