Henkel Introduces Next Generation Cyanoacrylate Technology
Consistent Product Performance Over Entire Shelf Life
Rocky Hill, Conn. - September 23, 2004.... Henkel Corporation has introduced next generation surface insensitive cyanoacrylate technology that delivers faster fixture and cure speeds and maintains product performance over the adhesive's shelf life. For the end user, this consistent performance eliminates the need to readjust manufacturing processes to compensate for age-related changes.
Loctite® Prism® 4500 Series next generation cyanoacrylate adhesives offer the fastest cure speeds currently available. Over the product's 21 month shelf life, cure speed will not degenerate measurably. And the adhesives are less responsive to environmental variables such as humidity and temperature. This overall product stability results in improved quality, easier process control, more reliable and precise dispensing, consistent process throughput, reduced scrap, simplified inspection and lower overall cost.
Four Loctite® Prism® single component instant adhesives are presently available. Loctite® Prism® 4500(TM) is a gel cyanoacrylate formulated not to flow, even on vertical applications. Loctite® Prism® 4501(TM) is a wicking viscosity cyanoacrylate designed to easily flow into hard-to-reach areas. Loctite® Prism® 4502(TM) and Loctite® Prism® 4503(TM) are low and medium viscosity cyanoacrylates formulated for excellent performance on difficult-to-bond substrates, including porous and absorbent materials such as wood, paper, leather and fabric.
