SKF® 'Modular Range' Linear Actuators Help Keep Costs And Engineering To A Minimum
SKF® CAT Modular Range electromechanical linear actuators are designed to be custom-built with standard components, enabling users to satisfy application-specific needs without requiring specially engineered and costly parts or assemblies.
Among their available options, users can specify 90V DC motors, which are compatible with industry-standard controls and can contribute to simplified and efficient packages. Other specifications and options able to be accommodated include standard or special stroke lengths, friction clutch gears, cables, front and rear attachments, and AC or DC motors with other voltages. Accessories range from limit switches to encoders.
Three basic actuator types comprise the SKF CAT Modular Range series: CAT 33 with ACME sliding screw for standard operation; CAT 33H with ACME screw for high-speeds; and CAT 33B with SKF ball screw for higher load or duty factors.
SKF CAT Modular Range linear actuators can be designed to perform a variety of functions, such as opening/closing, clamping/gripping, raising/lowering, or pushing/pulling. Their flexibility promotes use in virtually unlimited applications, including equipment used in the foodservice, material handling, medical, general industrial, and countless other industries where reliable repetitive-motion systems must perform.
