INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Take Three, Inc. is proud to offer new UL-listed custom-cut LED rope lights. Electrical contractors now have a viable option to provide inexpensive and energy-efficient LED linear lighting for commercial projects that is certified for quality and safety, without having to perform in-field cutting of the light fixture.
UL listing is an important qualification for a lighting fixture, as it ensures a product is safe for installation. Many agencies and governing bodies require that only UL-listed light fixtures be used on projects. And while LED rope lighting is a popular choice in both residential projects for accent lighting with its ease of installation and ability to be cut to length, it suffers from a UL problem. The bulk spools that rope lights are often sold in may be UL listed, but most projects do not require a continuous 150 feet of rope light, and it is usually cut down to size. But the UL listing on any rope light is void as soon as that first cut is made. This poses a problem for rope lights and the contractors looking to install them in any commercial project that requires UL-listed lighting.
