New Current Sense Resistor from Stackpole Electronics, Inc. Capable Of Handling High Current To 63 Amps
RALEIGH, NC (December 3, 2004) - Stackpole Electronics, Inc. has introduced a new current sense chip resistor capable of withstanding currents to 63 amps in a 2512 size package.
Designated the CSRL2, it is rated to 2 Watts @ 70°C and has resistance values as low as .0005 ohm, in tolerances to 1%. The CSRL2 exhibits extremely low inductance of less than 0.2nH, and has TCRs of less than +/- 100ppm/°C. The CSRL2 is rated for operation from temperatures of -55°C to 150°C.
Regarding the launch of the CSRL2, Rob Hudspeth, Director of Sales & Marketing for Stackpole commented, "We are able to withstand higher operating currents because of improvements in our materials process," he explained. "The CSRL2 provides designers of portable electronic equipment a new alternative in reliable, ultra-low resistance and very high current resistor options."
