Agilent Technologies Introduces AC/DC Current Probes for Accurate Measurements from DC to 100 MHz Bandwidth

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 1, 2007 -- Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today introduced a new family of wide-bandwidth, active current probes for oscilloscopes. Low noise, high accuracy and low circuit insertion loss make the Agilent N2780A Series current probes ideal for accurately capturing transient or steady-state currents in today's power electronics applications.

Using a hybrid technology that includes a Hall effect sensor and an AC current transformer, the Agilent N2780A Series current probes provide accurate measurement of DC or AC currents up to 500 Arms continuous (model N2780A) or DC to 100 MHz (model N2783A), without breaking into the circuit. In conjunction with the optional Agilent N2779A power supply, Agilent N2780A Series current probes can be used with any oscilloscope that has a high-impedance BNC input.
