Loctite Introduces ZETA(R) 7401 UV Cure Chamber

Rocky Hill, Conn. - May 10, 2002. Loctite Corporation has introduced the Loctite® ZETA® 7401 UV Cure Chamber, designed for use in a wide range of bonding, potting, tacking, and sealing applications. Reliable and easy to use, this chamber is well suited for most production operations.

The ZETA 7401 is a medium intensity light source that should be used in applications where high intensity output is not required. Excellent for use in confined bondline applications, the unit is operated by simply placing an assembly into the cure drawer, closing the drawer, and allowing the assembly to be exposed to light for the required amount of time. A convenient viewing window allows the operator to monitor the curing process.

The UV cure chamber contains a four-inch, 400-watt metal halide bulb that is designed to emit in the UVA region and to provide 1,000 hours of bulb life with proper handling and maintenance. The ZETA 7401 features a curing area of 8 x 8 inches and can accept parts up to four inches in height. The convenient pull out drawer allows for easy part processing and eliminates direct operator exposure to UV energy. A special silicone rubber pad that resists UV deterioration and chemical attack covers the chamber's work surface.
