Cummins Expands Use of Click Commerce Software to Help with Inventory Management

Chicago, March 13, 2008 - Click Commerce, Inc., the leading provider of service network management solutions, today announced that Cummins Inc., a global leader in engines and related technologies, is expanding its application of Click Commerce planning and optimization software to further improve inventory management and parts flow throughout its global network.

The expansion more than doubles the number of Cummins personnel who use Click Commerce solutions to manage spare parts logistics at Cummins Parts and Service group's major distribution centers worldwide.

Click Commerce software enables Cummins to correct and optimize inventory levels and parts flow across its multi-tiered network. The software analyzes inventory patterns and makes recommendations on parts ordering and allocation based on demand, allowing Cummins to meet its fill rate and service objectives. The results include lower inventory costs, an increase in turns, faster customer service and improved efficiency.

"This expansion reaffirms our commitment to using Click Commerce solutions to manage our global business operations and provide customers with the best service possible," said Norbert Nusterer, executive director of Global Parts Logistics at Cummins. "Given our rapid growth and continuing need for business process integration, the decision to make the Click Commerce solution our global standard will allow us to save time, money and resources by optimizing our inventory levels and materials flow on many levels. We look forward to broadening and deepening our working relationship with Click Commerce later this year and in 2009 as our business continues to expand worldwide."

"We are pleased to be increasing our role in helping Cummins derive measurable value from its aftermarket operations," said Eric Meerschaert, president of Click Commerce. "Our solutions enable customers to manage the complexity of the aftermarket service network while optimizing the profitability of their parts operations by linking daily inventory decisions to high-level business outcomes."
