CSE Semaphore Opens Oil and Gas Center of Excellence

CALGARY, AB — CSE Semaphore, a CSE Global company, announced today the opening of its Oil and Gas Center of Excellence. Located in Calgary, Alberta, the center will enable upstream oil and gas operators, developers, and systems integrators to devise high-performance measurement and automation solutions that incorporate CSE Semaphore's Kingfisher RTU and TBox RTU product lines.

The announcement was made today at Simark Controls Ltd.'s Fall SCADA Symposium, where CSE Semaphore also demonstrated its new Gas Flow Measurement solution to Canadian customers.

"CSE Semaphore's Gas Flow Measurement solution is representative of the next-generation products that our new Oil and Gas Center of Excellence will support," said William Ketelhut, managing director, CSE Semaphore. "The new solution unites the power of advanced technologies to reinvent gas flow computing. It is the industry's fastest, most secure gas measurement solution, offering users anytime, anywhere measurement and control," Ketelhut said.

The Center of Excellence is co-located with Simark Controls' headquarters in Calgary. Simark is a CSE Semaphore distributor and a leading provider of oil and gas automation solutions. Calgary was selected for its proximity to large upstream oil and gas investments in Alberta and for its concentration of global energy and engineering firms.

CSE Semaphore's TBox and Kingfisher SCADA and automation products are widely used throughout the world's oil and gas industries. TBox products employ an innovative, decentralized architecture that enables the complete integration of measurement, programmable automation, alarm management, data logging, and IP telemetry in a single, rugged package. The simple yet powerful platforms leverage Web technologies and immediate notification messaging via e-mail, SMS text, and FTP. TBox systems feature integral, 3G cellular communications, cyber security suites, hazardous area approvals, and operation in temperatures from -40 degrees to 70 degrees C.

The Kingfisher line provides an advanced automation platform for SCADA system solutions, including redundant configurations, intelligent I/O, and open programming that is compliant with IEC 61131-3. They are well suited to large, demanding measurement and control applications that employ central stations.
