MMD Adds New Line of Low-Power OCXOs, with Units Available in 14-Pin DIP or Surface-Mount Configurations

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., June 21, 2007 - MMD Components (Monitor & Quartztek), a producer of frequency control devices, has introduced a line of low-power oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs) with options for an AT, SC or IT cut crystal design. The new MOFLP series OCXOs are ideal for a wide variety of battery-powered applications and as suitable replacements for the Vectron EX-380/385.

MMD's MOFLP series OCXOs provide fast warm-up and low power usage, with typical current consumption of 120mA during start-up and under 70mA in steady-state operation at 25ºC for a 3.3Vdc unit. Customers can also specify an operating voltage of 5V, temperature ranges from -40ºC to +85ºC, and frequencies from 1 MHz to 125 MHz. Units are offered in an industry-standard 14-pin DIP (dual inline package), a gull-wing surface-mount version, or an SMD configuration.

Availability for the MOFLP series OCXOs is stock to 12 weeks for units with standard frequencies, 12 weeks for custom frequencies. Prices start as low as $100 each for units with frequencies under 40MHz and in quantities of 100.
