Sunpower Introduces The CryoTel® Cube Cryogenic Cooling System

ATHENS, OH – Sunpower Inc., a leader in Stirling engine and cryocooler development and manufacturing, announces the release of the CryoTel® Cube cryogenic cooling system. This latest addition to the Sunpower cryocooler portfolio brings a maintenance-free, high-performance, high-reliability cryogenic cooling system to the laboratory cryogenic market.

The CryoTel Cube incorporates Sunpower’s CryoTel GT cryocooler. Users can turn on the Cube and have instant cryogenic cooling from a maintenance-free solution that eliminates the hassle of handling liquid nitrogen.

The CryoTel Cube can operate in multiple orientations with no degradation in performance. The cryocooler is mounted on vibration isolation mounts to reduce exported vibration. An optional Active Vibration Cancellation system further reduces exported vibration to levels consistent with liquid nitrogen.

The CryoTel Cube includes everything needed to quickly reach cryogenic temperatures at 40–150 kelvins, making the system an excellent solution for meeting laboratory or OEM cryogenic requirements.  Applications for the Cube, and for all Sunpower cryocoolers, include materials research, high-temperature superconductivity, cryogenic preservation, germanium and infrared detectors, cold traps, laser cooling, and medical devices. Sunpower's high-reliability cryocoolers are suitable for use anywhere liquid nitrogen is used.

Sunpower is a unit within AMETEK Advanced Measurement Technologies (AMT), which is a division of AMETEK, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices with annual sales of $3.6 billion. More information is available at www.sunpowerinc.com
