SUPER FINISHED 'SF Grade' Crossed Roller Rails



The Precision Alliance announces the introduction of a new class of precision for high accuracy linear motion systems from PM Bearings. The new SF Grade crossed roller bearings now offer a quality of motion never before achieved in mechanical linear bearings. A proprietary grinding process creates a mirror finish on the raceway surfaces while lapping them to a new level of linear accuracy.

In addition to the higher accuracy of the new SF Grade, the highly polished surfaces provide the smoothest motion of any mechanical bearing system. This is particularly important in certain optical and electronic scanning applications where vibrations can affect the reading or accuracy of the system. The mirror finish of the bearing surfaces also provides an extremely consistent frictional force, which makes these bearings well suited for applications where a precise direct reading of axial force must be obtained.
