Elevated Maze for Anxiety Studies in Mice and Rats

Panlab Harvard Apparatus has introduced their NEW Elevated Plus Maze to assess anxiety in small laboratory animals.

This cross-shaped maze works by exploiting the conflict between a rodent's innate fear of open spaces and desire to explore new spaces. Two closed arms of the maze provide security while the open arms of the maze offer exploratory value.

Choose a basic maze configuration for use with the optional SMART or Smart JUNIOR Video-Tracking software to record a variety of parameters including animal position, time spent in each arm and distance travelled.

For completely automated monitoring, choose the Elevated Plus Maze equipped with infrared photocells and MAZESOFT-4 software.
