INDIANAPOLIS, -- Crimson Fire, Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom and purpose-built fire apparatus, is introducing a high performance, durable and affordably priced product line known as the Classic Series at the Fire Department Instructor's Conference (FDIC), which opened today in Indianapolis, IN. The Classic Series is a strategic addition to the Crimson Fire portfolio as it enables the company to accommodate all customer needs. The Star Series is a highly-engineered line of custom fire apparatus that can be configured to meet any customer requirement, the Legend Series is a modular line of fire apparatus that offers high quality, flexibility and fast configuration and delivery.

The Classic Series is comprised of eight different products, two of which are featured at the Crimson Fire display in the Indiana Convention Center (exhibit #2207), the Classic Series FireRanger MP and the Classic Series Tanker.

Classic Series

The Classic Series FireRanger Mini Pumper incorporates an extruded aluminum body with spacious compartments and roll-up doors. The Classic Series Tanker offers an innovative pump-under-tank module configuration with a Hale AP50 500 GPM Power Take Off-driven pump, a 2,000 gallon water tank and a Newton 10" manual swivel dump. It rides on a medium-duty Kenworth T370 4x2 chassis with the PACCAR PX-8 engine rated to 360 HP and an EVS 3000 Allison automatic transmission.

"The Classic Series offers exceptional performance, durability, quality and value," commented Dave Reid, Senior Vice President, Emergency Response Vehicles for Spartan Motors. Legend Series

Crimson Fire is also exhibiting a pumper from its modular product line known as the Legend Series. Through a design for manufacturing approach of engineered bodies, options and speed, the Legend Series provides customers with low cost and quick delivery pumpers, aerials and tankers available on custom or commercial chassis.

The pumper on display at FDIC is built on a Spartan Metro Star medium four door cab and chassis with a 10" raised roof, featuring an aluminum body, polypropylene 1,000 gallon tank and a 1,500 GPM mid-ship pump with side mount pump controls.

Star Series

The highly-engineered and configurable Star Series product line combines an incredibly durable framework with more usable compartment space, custom designed tank, lower center of gravity, an ergonomically optimized control panel and increased serviceability. The Star Series on display at FDIC includes two Transformer Pumpers, all available for purchase, on both custom and commercial chassis, and a rear mount
platform that features a high flow capacity water system. The Transformer body configuration minimizes the space consumed by the fire pump to provide excellent compartment space to meet the changing needs in the fire service.
