Schleuniger Introduces the New CT 35 Pneumatic Safety Crimping Machine

Schleuniger is pleased to introduce the CT 35 Safety Crimping Machine. The CT 35 includes a dual foot pedal and features a convenient, hands-free pre-close mechanism. The operator opens the crimping head with the right side of the foot pedal and inserts the terminal. The foot pedal is released and the head closes under low pressure so that the terminal can be properly positioned before crimping. As an added safety benefit, the crimping portion of the cycle cannot be actuated if the crimp dies are open more than 0.25" (6.4mm). Once the terminal is in position, the operator presses the left side of the foot pedal and the terminal is crimped. This feature provides increased benefits. The terminal position can be confirmed prior to crimping, the probability of achieving a better quality crimp. Therefore, less training is required and operators with a wider variety of skill levels can use the machine. The CT 35 is capable of crimping a wide variety of terminals including insulated and un-insulated closed barrel terminals, coaxial cable connectors and wire ferrules. The unique crimping head will accommodate dies from numerous terminal manufacturers such as Panduit, Paladin, Tyco, Daniels, Burndy, and others with our selection of die adapters. It can crimp wire up to 6 AWG and crimp ferrules on wire up to 1 AWG. The Schleuniger CT series machines are incredibly durable and very simple to operate. When durability and simplicity are combined with the incredible application flexibility and extra safety features of the CT 35, it is easy to see that the CT 35 would make a nice addition to any production environment.
