Criterion Machine Works, Costa Mesa, CA announced they will be introducing 3 new models in their Cri-Bore Modular Boring System product line at IMTS 2006. The new CB1 and CB1.25 models cover a boring range from 1.047" to 1.600" in diameter. While, the LCB1.5 model increases the maximum bore diameter to 12.125". The complete Cri-Bore Modular Boring System boring range will be 1.047" to 12.125" in diameter.
The CB1 and CB1.25 models can operate at speeds up to 10,000 RPM without any special balancing. Both models have a .001", on diameter, direct reading dial adjustment and through the spindle coolant capabilities. They are available with triangle or 80° diamond insert pockets designed for industry standard inserts.
The LCB1.5 model is available in inch or metric styles and is capable of boring holes from 5.000" (127 mm) to 12.125" (307 mm) in diameter or turning OD's from .750" (20 mm) to 8.812" (224 mm) in diameter. The LCB1.5 direct reading dial is available with either a .001" (0,02 mm) or .0001" (2mm) on diameter adjustment. Through the spindle coolant capabilities are standard in both models. The LCB1.5 is available with triangle or 80° diamond insert pockets designed for industry standard inserts.
