Industry-leading ATE Solution Sets New Standard for Performance, Investment Flexibility
MILPITAS, Calif., July 10 - Credence Systems (NASDAQ:CMOS), provider of industry-leading test solutions to semiconductor manufacturers worldwide, has garnered Semiconductor International magazine's prestigious 2007 Editors' Choice Award. The publication's editors are conferring awards for excellence upon 21 commercially proven industry products that are significantly advancing semiconductor manufacturing technologies, with Credence Systems' Sapphire platform taking the honors for high-end automated test equipment (ATE). Among the winning companies, Credence is the only test supplier to be recognized this year for the award, which will be presented at a ceremony during SEMICON West in San Francisco on July 18, 2007.
According to Semiconductor International, award winners "exemplify state-of-the-art equipment and materials installed and used in numerous fabs around the world." In determining winners, publication editors weighed the overall impact of solutions on the semiconductor industry, evaluating factors such as whether a product has proven effective in production environments and helped to advance state-of-the-art practices in its category. Customer feedback was also an important factor in the selection process.
