AAEON's new half-size CPU card SBC-657 targets vehicular mobile and industrial applied computing markets. To fulfill the critical demand of those markets, the SBC-657 features an onboard VIA low power Eden 667MHz or Ezra 800MHz CPU, large size display support ability, low-profile design, 10/100Base-T LAN, PC/104 connector and PCISA bus interface for backplane accessory cards.
The onboard VIA Ezra/Eden EBGA mobile CPU is built with 0.13 and 0.15-micron manufacturing processes enabling cool processing by minimizing power consumption and heat generation. This saves energy and ensures longer battery life in vehicular designs. The Eden 667MHz version is recommended for applications requiring fanless operation.
The SBC-657 features include an integrated 4X 2D/3D graphic controller, 18/36-bit TFT LCD panel support and 36-bit (dual 18-bit channel) LVDS interface, a 10/100Base-T Fast Ethernet port, 4 USB ports, 3 RS-232 and 1 RS-232/422/485 serial port, an IrDA port, and a parallel port.
The CompactFlash Type II socket offers large memory storage for data storage of all types and a keyboard/PS/2 mouse interface. Onboard hardware status monitoring is built-in, with the ability to watch power supply voltages, fan speed and temperature. You can use AT (with version SBC-657-A10-01) or ATX (with version SBC-657-A10) power supply types to suit whatever your application needs.
