cPCI Card enables synchro/resolver measurement/simulation.

Press Release Summary:

Synchro/resolver measurement and simulation cPCI 6U card, 78CS1, includes 8 S/D and 6 D/S converter channels with 16-bit resolution, digital velocity outputs, and programmable single- and 2-speed operating modes. Accuracy for measurement channels is 1 arc-min, and accuracy for simulation channels is 30 arc-sec. D/S converters provide 1.2 VA outputs, and S/D converters are self-calibrating. Unit also provides optional outputs for encoder plus index and Hall Effect commutation.

Synchro/Resolver Measurement and Simulation cPCI Card Now Available

8 S/D and 6 D/S Converters Provided with Accurate Velocity Outputs and Two-Speed Operating Modes Bohemia NY -- North Atlantic Industries (NAI) has announced the availability of a synchro/resolver measurement and simulation cPCI 6U card. The 78CS1 includes 8 S/D and 6 D/S converter channels with 16-bit resolution, accurate digital velocity outputs, programmable single-speed and two-speed operating modes, transformer isolation, wrap-around self-test, PXI compatibility, and optional 5 VA Programmable Reference Supply. Accuracy for the measurement channels is 1 arc-minute and accuracy for the simulation channels is 30 arc-seconds. The D/S converters provide 1.2 VA outputs and the S/D converters are self-calibrating. The S/D operates at 47 Hz to 10 KHz and the D/S at 400 Hz to 10 KHz. The 78CS1 also provides optional outputs for encoder (A&B) plus index and Hall Effect commutation. The 78CS1 provides continuous background Built-In-Test (BIT) on all functions and channels, including reference and signal loss detection. The BIT is totally transparent to the user, requires no programming, and doesn't interfere with the normal operation of the card. The card is available in both commercial and military temperature ranges, and is ideally suited for military and commercial programs, including airborne, shipboard, ground mobile and C3I applications. The 78CS1 is available with operating temperature ranges of -40°C to +85°C and 0°C to +70°C. Conduction cooled versions with wedgelocks are also available. Pricing for 100 pieces of the 78CS1 starts at $4000 each. Delivery starts at 6 weeks ARO. "The 78CS1 provides our customers with a flexible synchro/resolver measurement and simulation cPCI card that reduces size, complexity and cost," said Mike Oliveri, VP of Sales and Marketing at NAI. "They particularly like the high accuracy, continuous built-in-test, and digital velocity outputs."
