Emerson Network Power Introduces Cover Kits for Three Series of Popular AC-DC Power Supplies
CARLSBAD, Calif. - September 13, 2007 - Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), has introduced cover kits for the Artesyn NLP250, Artesyn TLP150 and Astec LPS120 series of ac-dc power supplies. These power supplies are popular choices with OEMs and system integrators seeking ready-to-use packages in the 120 to 250 watt power band. Until now, the power supplies have only been available in open-frame, or non-enclosed, versions. The cover kits are designed to simplify mechanical integration of the power supplies into systems, and add an extra measure of electrical safety for service personnel.
All three cover kits are available as separate add-on accessories, and the Artesyn NLP250 power supply can optionally be ordered with the cover pre-installed at the factory. Featuring robust, ventilated enclosures, the cover kits are supplied complete with all necessary insulating plates, mounting brackets and screws.
The Artesyn NLP250 and TLP150 series, and the Astec LPS120 series, are designed for use in low-profile applications, such as 1U rack applications. The installation of a cover kit adds minimal height to the power supplies, and does not impact on their use in such applications. All three series of power supplies offer a choice of 12, 24 or 48 V main outputs - the LPS120 series additionally offers 3.3, 5 and 15 V options - and also feature 5 V standby and 12 V fan outputs.
The 12 V and 24 V models in the Artesyn NLP250 and TLP150 series are also available with full medical approvals, for applications such as patient monitoring systems and other portable equipment used in medical wards and surgical operating theaters.
Sample quantities of cover kits for all three series of power supplies are available for immediate delivery. Standard lead-time is stock to 8 weeks. Pricing starts at US $6.00 in production quantities.
