PECO INC Introduces the Industry's Widest Coreless Winders
Ideal for bag, sheet and industrial applications
(PECO Inc, Fairfield, NJ) …PECO INC introduces its industrial winder Models IW and IWP in widths currently available up to 1100mm (44”) - offering the industry’s widest coreless winding capability for bag, sheets or industrial products. PECO, long known for its Spinner coreless winders has developed the IW series of industrial winders specifically for wider applications. The IW model is for winding bags on a roll, while the IWP is for sheets, tubing, sheeting or bags on a roll.
The IW series winds rolls up to 44” wide, and 11” in diameter. The standard winder can produce up to 5 rolls per minute, at line speeds up to 250’/min. The high-speed model, the HS, enables winding at lines speeds up to 500’/min.The new special “HSE” model can run at speeds up to 750’/min. The winder can also wind rolls on 1.5” or 3” OD cores.These winders are also available for applications outside of these specifications as well – please contact PECO for more information.
The IW series winders are gaining popularity in the construction and agriculture as well as the Geo-membrane industries, where a roll of film or bags can be brought out into the field, up on a roof, on a job site without having a core to dispose of. Â
The IW is available with an integrated perforation unit, model IWP, which can be used to make multiple sheets per roll and will be used to do the automatic roll transfer. The winder will transfer after a given number of perforations are produced, or when a specific length of film is reached. Optionally, PECO’s time tested spark tester can be added to detect bags and/or perforations that are made on external bag machines.
Like all PECO products, the IW series winders are designed to operate in line with a blown film extrusion line for 24/7 production, as well as use in out of line systems, if desired. The operator panel features multi language capabilities, and winder controls feature a fault-detecting feature.
