Ingersoll Rand Releases First 1/2" Extended-Anvil Cordless Impact Wrench
Annandale, N.J. - April 2, 2007 - With the success of its IQV Series cordless tools released last fall, Ingersoll Rand began an aggressive product line extension in 2007 by engineering the W360-2, the world's first 1/2" extended-anvil cordless Impactool(TM).
Developed for automotive and industrial professionals, the W360-2 features a two-inch extended anvil for more convenient use. The extended anvil makes it easier for operators to get to otherwise hard-to-reach areas that are less accessible. Even with the additional anvil length, it is significantly lighter than competitive models, weighing less than 6.4 pounds while delivering a best-in-class 360 foot-pounds of reverse torque - up to double the power-to-weight of other leading cordless brands.
Like all IQV Series tools, the W360-2 offers the world's best battery technology. Onboard battery electronics provide the ability to choose either lithium-ion or nickel-cadmium batteries for every tool and the IQV charger is compatible with all IQV batteries. Constructed with superior cell technologies, all IQV batteries offer best-in-class recharge life in addition to the patent-pending IQV Grip interface.
