Hitachi Power Tools Introduces Two New-World-Class Cordless Driver Drills
NORCROSS, GA., July 1, 2004 - Hitachi Power Tools today launched two world-class additions to their cordless drill series. The Hitachi DS18DMR and Hitachi DS14DMR incorporate the most advanced features available for professionals and/or 'weekend warriors' who demand a tool engineered to withstand the most demanding projects.
The DS18DMR is Hitachi's new 18-Volt cordless driver drill that delivers 550 in/lbs of torque (class leading). It comes with two high-capacity 3.0Ah batteries that ensure longer run time between charges. The DS14DMR is the 14-Volt cordless driver drill that delivers 450 in/lbs of torque (class leading) and comes with two high-capacity 2.0Ah batteries. Both offer 2-speed transmissions that feature no-load RPMs of 0-400/1600. These drills are also some of the most compact and lightweight cordless drills in their class. Measuring just over 9 inches and weighing approximately 5 lbs, they allow for greater flexibility and ease of use in tight or overhead spaces.
