PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., March 16, 2009 - Cooper Lighting, a division of Cooper Industries, Ltd. (NYSE: CBE), has introduced the Shaper Fabrique© Series, a new line of commercial and residential pendants, wall sconces compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and surface luminaires featuring high-quality construction, unique fabric choices and a modular design for easy modification and convenient installation. A wide variety of specification options include eight distinct shapes, 12 diverse scales, and multiple suspension and finish options.

The Fabriqué Series' premium manufacturing process features shades that have "hand-tucked edges" with minimal or no visual hardware or structural trim. The 14 standard fabrics were carefully selected to meet today's design industries' popular colors and include specialty fabrics from the San Francisco Mart. Standard fabric choices include Shantung White, Eggshell or Beige; Chintz Onyx or Chocolate; Linen Brussels White, Criss-Cross, Cinnamon Stick, Apex, Jibe, Glasgow, Earth Dust, Silver Moon and White Mist. The company can also easily accommodate fabric supplied by a customer.

The 101 Series of rectilinear pendant (pictured) and surface luminaires is available in two sizes (38" L x 6-1/4" W or 48" L x 10-1/8" W) and features a custom designed Shade-in-a-Shade option that is hand-constructed with three high-quality organza fabics for a beautiful translucent appearance. The 102 Series of large-scale drum pendants and surface fixtures is available in 24", 30", 36" and 42" diameters and multiple pendant mounting options including a single _" stem or a combination of stem and three aircraft cables. The 103 Series of ADA rectilinear wall luminaires feature slightly curved 26" L x 8-1/2" W sconces and the 104 Series of square wall sconces (12" L x 12" W) is available with three decorative bottom trim options. All four fixture families include a choice of up to 14 standard fabrics and are designed with a matte white acrylic lens bottom and an option white acrylic top lens. The 105 Fabriqué Mini-Pendant Luminaires, which have been designed to mount to a variety of Halo track lighting systems in addition to standard canopy mounting, are available in ten paper and fabric choices including Linen Alabaster, Biscuit or Chopsticks; Nutmeg or Bronze Shimmer; Silk Ivory or White; Grass Cloth, Paper Leaf and White Krinkle.

The Fabriqué Series' unique modular design allows the electrical contractor to install the suspension/electrical components early in the construction phase while the fabric shade is stored until after the final phase is complete to avoid damage or dirt. The modular design also allows for the fixtures to be easily modified (size, lamping, fabric, suspension options, etc.).

The family is available in Shaper's standard hardware finishes (up to 18 finishes) including brass, copper, chrome, nickel and natural aluminum for a sustainable design. Lamp options include compact fluorescent, fluorescent (T5), halogen and incandescent lamp options. Fluorescent fixtures can also be ordered with a dimmable ballast.
